How to check locale (region) and time zone for your Windows OS

There are some instances where trouble shooting requires the understanding of an individuals device and its setup.

To confirm your OS locale/region:

On your task bar on the left is a search option - type control panel

Open the Control Panel app
Select Clock and Region
Select Region
Provide the details found in Format (example below is English (New Zealand)

To confirm your clock/time zone settings:

On your task bar on the left is a search option - type control panel

Open the Control Panel app
Select Clock and Region
Select Date and Time
Provide the details found under Time zone
