How to move users between organization groups

Within the SaaS site there can be multiple organization groups which are maintained and edited via the Wellnomics Admin role. What are the different roles in your Wellnomics SaaS site

An individual can only belong to one Organization group.  


If a user is removed from any configured organization group, they will be automatically assigned/reassigned to the "Default organization group". How you move individuals within the organization groups will depend on how the users have been added to your database and the organization group setup type.


Options dependent on the management of your users in the database:


Users managed by HR Import

HR import users can only belong to an organization group where the group has been configured to "Add users from Bulk User Import (HR Import)".  If you have previously created a group and it is set to "Add users from User Sign Up", and you wish to assign HR import users, you will need to create a new organization group. 

  1. Select Admin from main menu
  2. Select Manage organization groups
  3. Select Edit for the group you are wanting to add/remove the user too. 
  4. Scroll down to users in organization group and select the radio button Users meeting criteria and select Edit
  5. Either select by HR Fields (if available) or Select Individual Users - add User ID, First Name or Last Name and select search.  
  6. If you want to select multiple names hold the ctrl button and select multiple and then click Add >>
  7. To add more users repeat steps 5 and 6.  You will see a full list of users to the right
  8. Select OK


If you try to add a sign up user to an organization group confHR group, you will get the following error.

Sign up users can only belong to organization groups where the group has been configured "Add users from User Sign Up".  Note if you have created a group and it is for Add users from Bulk User Import (HR Import), you will need to create a new group. Once the group is created, this value can't be edited. 

  1. Select Admin from main menu
  2. Select Manage organization groups
  3. Select the number under the Total users column
  4. Select hyperlink "move users between Organization Groups 
  5. Under the From group select the organization group name where the user is a member of currently
  6. Under the To box select the organization group name where the user is to be moved to.
  7. Find their name in the From box and select their name to highlight (you can select multiple names by holding the CTRL key down)
  8.  Select the right pointing arrow - this will move the user(s) to the To group
  9. Select Save
